Kathmandu, Aug 3: The Supreme Court has set a goal to settle 50 per cent cases now under consideration at the court within a year.
The first full meeting of the apex court held under the chairmanship of Chief Justice, Sushila Karki, on Wednesday set the goal in this regard, said SC Joint-Spokesperson, Bishworaj Poudel. The meeting was held after the appointment of 11 new judges.
Poudel said the meeting also discussed contemporary issues of legal sector. Around 22,000 cases are now under consideration at Supreme Court.
